But when I returned decades later, everything had changed.
No trees. No snow-capped peaks. Just warm air and a barren slope. A brown haze hung where the view once sparkled. The silence wasn’t peaceful — it was heavy with loss.

It’s my way of giving back to the places that shaped me. And maybe, creating space for the next child to find magic in the trees.
